N Nairn is around 16 miles east of Inverness on the Moray Firth and has been a holiday destination since Victorian times; today it has championship golf courses with the Nairn Golf Club and the Nairn Dunbar Golf Club within the town boundaries along with the nearby Castle Stuart, one of the best Golf Courses in Scotland.
Nairn is also ideally suited for family holidays with a swimming pool, many nearby historic sites and villages to visit and the beautiful beaches with lovely scenery over the Moray Firth.
Nairn has two lovely sandy beaches, one next to Fishertown and the public park while the other far longer beach is across the River Nairn, opposite the caravan and camping site. This beach is popular with locals and visitors alike with walks towards Culbin Forest in the direction of Findhorn and borders the Nairn Dunbar Golf Course. The beach walk goes into forest paths alongside the Culbin Sands Nature Reserve.
